When Lothar is happy, e.g. when we cam back home, he lie down on his back, is grumbling, closes his eyes and shows
his
teeth. Well, certainly you think, when he shows his teeth, he is aggressiv. No!!
He only shows his teeth, he doesn't ripple his nose! When he does this he is
just happy :-)!!Of course this gesture is not a natural behaviour of dogs. If you tell other people about your smiling dog, they smile at you and think you make you og too much human-like. I can say you, that I'm not this kind of person, thinking a dog is a human! I love Lothar very much, but he is a dog and not a human!
This behaviour is an imitations of our behaviour. When we are happy we show our teeth and the dog imitates this!
Well, I'm proud on my Smiley, becasue there are not many dogs doing this :-)!
